Geoffrey Giraffe's WebsiteHello - Welcome to my new home on the Internet. I am a giraffe of the "beany-baby"
type, but I think that I have a lot more character than many toys answering
to this description. I live with my big friend Frank. He goes out during the day and I look after the flat. Sometimes I do a bit of reading, but most of the time I like to just sit quietly, keeping an eye on the houseplants.

Here I am on holiday. We spent a lot of the time driving fast through the countryside, past lots of tasty looking hedges and looking at lumps of rock. I like sitting in the sun, and my big friend found this large stone for me to sit on so that I wouldn't get wet in the long grass. There were many stones all like this in a big circle - obviously a place where lots of giraffes like to hang out and catch some rays. I didn't see anyone else when I was there though - they must have all gone home for tea by the time we got there. Seeing this photograph again just reminds me of how much my stomach was grumbling at the time - or was that due to big Frank's driving technique?

Here I am again, catching some more sun. The rocks behind looked a bit too sharp to sit on, so I bravely took to the grass, which was obviously kept in good trim by the local giraffes. It did look quite tasty, but this was earlier in the day and I wasn't hungry enough to nibble my way through much of it. The bipedal primate in the background is not stalking me, I have it on good authority (from my big friend) that he is a vegetarian. That means he eats only vegetables. I heard about humanitarians on the TV the other day - I'll have to warn Frank to keep well clear of them as I don't want him to be eaten by one. |
